'It’s one of the dirtiest things you can do": Dana White slams Conor McGregor

UFC president Dana White insists Conor McGregor has broken man code by leaking screenshots of their private conversation online.

McGregor, 32, took aim at White on social media over the weekend, having been left frustrated by his lack of action in the Octagon of late.

The Dubliner has not competed since his quick-fire victory over Donald Cerrone back in January, despite urging the UFC chief to set up a showdown with welterweight veteran Diego Sanchez in May.

McGregor leaked screenshots of his private Instagram messages with White over the weekend, which show him requesting a bout with Sanchez in Los Angeles.

In the conversation, McGregor urged the UFC president to set up a clash with 39-year-old welterweight Diego Sanchez

He then followed up the screenshots by tweeting: 3 weeks post my last record breaking event, I was campaigning for another blockbuster McGregor event to take place. Sad about my season I must say.

And White has ripped into McGregor for exposing their private conversation to his 8.2million followers, branding it one of the dirtiest things you can do.

When asked about McGregors outburst in his UFC 253 post-fight press conference, the 51-year-old said: Listen, Ive had people blowing me up left and right.

Everybody here knows, even the ladies, this is some man-code stuff.

Its just something you dont do. Its one of the dirtiest things you can do.

We were just talking about Diego Sanchez and Diego Sanchez is in there in a private conversation I was having with Conor.

When youre the No.2 or No.3 ranked guy in the world and youre telling me that you want to fight, but you want to fight an unranked, 39-year-old Diego Sanchez in a main event in Los Angeles you know.

McGregor is instead set to switch over to boxing once again, with Manny Pacquiao confirming he will lock horns with the UFC superstar this winter.

He also took part in a lucrative crossover bout with Floyd Mayweather in August 2017, suffering a 10th-round stoppage defeat against the pound-for-pound legend.
