A total of 6,666 abortions were carried out in Ireland last year, according to official figures from the Department of Health.
Following the repeal of the Eighth Amendment, 2019 was the first year where terminations of pregnancy could legally carried out in certain circumstances.
The majority of terminations, 6,542, took place in early pregnancy.
100 were related to cases where there were conditions likely lead to the death of a foetus.
24 were conducted where there was a risk to the life of women.
67 women from Northern Ireland travelled here for terminations.
Terminations were carried out in all 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland, with the most in Dublin (2,493).
A report detailing the number of terminations will be published each year.
