This year's Presidential Debate between President Donald Trump and his opposition, Joe Biden, was one of the most explosive to date as Biden labelled Trump a "clown" and "the worst president America has ever had".
Throughout the 90-minute debate, they argued over the pandemic, the economy, and white supremacy, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Biden called the president a "clown" at one point and also told him to "shut up", while Trump made sure to bring up Biden's son's drug use as part of his attack.
The debate focused on six topics which were; the candidates' records, the Supreme Court, race, election integrity, the economy, and the current coronavirus pandemic.
When speaking about the culmination of actions Trump has taken during his time in office, Biden said; "You're the worst president America has ever had."
Due to the pandemic, the debate at Case Western Reserve University had a minimal, socially distanced audience while the traditional opening handshake had to be cut.
Local health measures had recommended that everyone present should wear masks, but of the president's family members, only the First Lady, Melania Trump, opted to wear a face covering.
Mr. Biden spoke in disgust about Trump's leadership on the coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 200,000 Americans since the virus landed in the states.
When speaking about the reasoning behind Trump wanting to reopen the economy in the midst of the pandemic, he said; "He panicked or he looked at the stock market.
"A lot of people died and a lot more are going to die unless he gets a lot smarter, a lot quicker."
After using the word "smart" in his criticisms of the current President, Trump was visibly defensive saying; "You graduated either the lowest or almost the lowest in your class.
"Don't ever use the word smart with me.
"Don't ever use that word."
