The bodies of two homeless men have been discovered in separate locations in Dublin city centre today.

The body of a man in his 40s was found at a hostel on Longford Street in the early hours of this morning.

A few hours later, the body of another man, also in his 40s, was found on Leinster Lane, near the Dil.

Gardai say they are investigating all the circumstances surrounding their deaths, but they are not linked and not being treated as suspicious.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of a body of a male in his 40s on Leinster Lane in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 25th November 2020.

"He has since been removed to the city morgue where a post-mortem is due to take place.
