Drake Bell has changed his name and everyone is confused

Drake who?!

Actor Drake Bell is familiar to many as one of the stars of iconic Nickelodeon sitcom Drake and Josh, in which he appeared alongside Josh Peck.

Bell appeared in other programmes such as The Amanda Show!, iCarly, Zoey 101 and Victorious. He is also a musician, having released five albums co-written and sang the Drake and Josh theme song, I Found a Way.

Fans of the actor, 34, were left confused when they noticed that across all of Bells social media channels, his username remained the same (@drakebell), but his display name had changed; he now goes by Drake Campana with a Mexican flag next to it.

Campana, as a few have pointed out, is the Spanish for bell. The former child star starting to post exclusively in Spanish on his social media last November, announcing the development with a post that translates into My social networks will now only be in Spanish, no more English.

Bell also released an album entirely in Spanish in 2019 and has continued to release Spanish-language songs since then.

This, coupled with the fact that Bell shared a photo of a Mexican ID on his social media channels with the name Drake Campana, has led some fans to speculate that Bell has permanently re-located to Mexico.

In an interview withEsquiregiven a few months ago, Bell said he wanted to do something for the fans of Mexico, with Latin rhythms, and I wanted to do something like what I have heard on my tours and visits to Mexico.

Bell continued: I love writing in Spanish; it is a beautiful language.
