Five teenagers hospitalised with serious injuries following Cork road crash

Five teenagers were rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a following a road crash in Co Cork on Thursday night.

Emergency Services, including five units of the Fire Service from Midleton and Youghal, were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision on the Bog Road between Redbarn Cross and the Youghal Road Junction, Cork, at around 9:25pm last night.

According to Cork Beo, three males and two females aged in their teens were rushed to Cork University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

The road is currently closed to allow for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.

AA Roadwatch has warned that "The Ladysbridge/Ballymacoda Rd (R633) will be closed until further notice following a serious collision last night."
