After shattering Starz records for all-time viewership high, Power Book II: Ghost devastated fans with the shocking death of Monet Tejada who sacrificed herself to save her son Cane in a heartbreaking moment that shattered the whole entire Powerverse.

In a classic scene that belongs in the Power Hall of Fame, Monet goes full Mary J. BLAM on Noma and her army that eventually takes her out in a moment of redemption that almost makes you forget how terrible of a mother she was before Season 4.

While many celebrated Monet going out like a G, others focused their attention on ‘apex predator’ Tariq who failed to take out Carter as planned and allowed Noma to be alerted about their plan to take her out at her wedding.

At this point, it’s clear Tariq is no Ghost despite his insistence that he’s better (and smarter) than his father who definitely would’ve taken out Carter to keep the plan in motion.

With only 1 episode left, we can’t wait to see how they conclude the series with multiple unresolved storylines including Tariq’s kidnapping of Carter, the Tejada kids vying for revenge against Noma, and Effie potentially making it to Stanford.

Check out the finale teaser trailer below:

Whew, we’re ready!

What was your reaction to Monet’s death? Who do you blame: Cane for not listening to her about Noma or Tariq for not taking out Carter? Do you think Ghost will return in the finale? Tell us down below and peep the social media hysteria over the Tejada matriarch’s death on the flip.
