Harry Potter Reboot Cast Draco and Lucius Malfoy, The Dursleys and More Roles

The HBO Harry Potter series reboot is quickly filling up its sizable ensemble cast.

Newcomer Lox Pratt has been cast to play Harry’s Slytherin rival Draco Malfoy, with Emma actor Johnny Flynn slated to be his father Lucius Malfoy. In the films, Tom Felton and Jason Isaacs played the roles, respectively.

The show has also found Harry’s relatives the Dursleys, casting Bel Powley in the role of Aunt Petunia Dursley and Daniel Rigby as Uncle Vernon Dursley.

The show also announced a slew of other actors for notable roles. That includes Katherine Parkinson as Ron’s mum, Molly Weasley, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown. Additionally, Bertie Carvel has been cast to play the Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge.

They will join previously announced cast, including the Golden Trio themselves – to be played by Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger.

The series has been described as a “faithful adaptation” of the beloved books and is being executive produced by the books’ author J.K. Rowling. Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod will executive produce, with the former acting as showrunner as well.

Shooting is set to commence in the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK.
