Harry Styles is investing in biggest indoor live music arena in the UK

Harry Styles is reportedly investing in what will be the biggest indoor live music arena in the UK.

Co-op Live will be based in Manchester City Football Club's Etihad Campus.

The new area will be able to hold a reported 23,500 people.

The 350 million venue received planning permission back in September and will open in 2023.

Styles said he was "excited and proud" to be part of the project.

He added; "Manchester is an incredible city, filled with incredible people, and I couldn't be happier to be part of this project.

"It feels very much like coming home.

"I was drawn to this project on every level, from the opportunities it will bring, to the contribution it will make to the city, and most importantly, that it will allow even more live music to thrive in Manchester.

"It's just another sign that this amazing city continues to grow."

The venue is being built by an American entertainment company called Oak View Group.

Speaking about their collaboration with Styles, a spokesperson for the group said Harry will be "actively involved in the development of the project."

They added that his "advice and consultation is going to be invaluable."

Harry Styles grew up in the neighbouring county of Chesire and also performed his first X Factor audition in the city.
