Coming off a career-year in 2019-20, 23-year-old Jamal Murray is emerging as one of the NBA’s best point guards. And, as he has helped lead the Nuggets to impressive levels of success these past few years, he has faced all different kinds of opponents.

In a recent interview with Ashley Nevel, Murray revealed which of his competitors gives him the toughest challenge: 2x MVP Steph Curry.

“One, because of his shot,” Murray said. “But two, because you don’t know what he’s gonna do. You don’t know if he’s just gonna pull it, you don’t know if he’s just gonna end up going by you, (or) if he’s gonna cross you over six times and then shoot and look away.

“You have absolutely no clue what he’s gonna do.”

The Golden State guard is best shooter in league history, having hit over 2,400 threes in his career on 43% shooting. He’s a 6x All-Star, 6x All-NBA, 2x MVP, and 3x Champion. Murray is just 3-7 against Steph All-Time.

Eventually, Murray hopes to lead his Nuggets to a Championship. They were close this season, making the Conference Finals before being eliminated by the Lakers. Obviously, to meet that goal, they’ll likely have to get past Curry and the Warriors.
