JaMychal Green Explains Why He Signed With The Nuggets: “Blowing A 3-1 Lead, They Just Fought, Showed You The Type Of Heart They Had, So It Wasn’t A Tough Decision.”

JaMychal Green signed with the Denver Nuggets less than two weeks ago after spending last season with the Los Angeles Clippers. Green, curiously, was eliminated by the Nuggets, his new team, in the bubble. That was an embarrassing moment for the team but he’s over that now.

He’s ready to start a new chapter in his career and is confident he can be helpful for Denver. During his introductory press conference, Green revealed he was close to signing with Denver last season but he decided to join the Clippers instead. Well, he knew that decision wasn’t the best of all but now Green can change things.

“I always kept that in the back of my mind so me and coach Malone, we always kept a relationship throughout the season,” Green said Tuesday. “Just felt like it was the right decision to come here.”

While explaining why he decided to take his talents to Denver, he praised the Nuggets’ style of play as well as coach Mike Malone’s approach to the game. He also appeared to take a subtle to the Clippers and the way they acted last season.

“Blowing a 3-1 lead, they just fought,” Green said. “It just showed you the type of heart they had.”

“It’s not like a green light (to shoot), but you go out there comfortable,” he said.

The player is ready to fill the void that Jerami Grant left in Denver and help this team compete and improve what they did last season, where they reached the Conference Finals, getting eliminated by the eventual champions Los Angeles Lakers.
