Just a Newspaper From a Major City Proposing Police State Tactics for the Flu, Nothing to Worry About – Opinion

This is a rant by the editorial board, and it’s impossible for The Salt Lake Tribune to pass on this information to a guest columnist.

It is not difficult to see how the COVID virus, which has been evolving in the media, can tie up the media. We have witnessed journalists promoting messaging months ago that saw governors ban people. It is notPeople who want to rule as dictators are called fascist. Those who insist that science should be followed are trying to discredit Joe Rogan’s right to speak to doctors. Their narratives unravelling is causing people to lose their heads.

Utah is the latest instance, with a newspaper proposing that the government takes action due to what it considers too little inaction by citizens. The Salt Lake Tribune is unable to pass these off to guest columnists either. A screed was published by the editorial board of the paper. about the need to take drastic action in order to…do something, and make it seem they can stop this outbreak.

This editorial is a remarkable example of concern and criticism.

You can see the Capitol building from that waning fluttering sound. It is Utah waving its white flag of surrender against the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s tragic. It’s disgraceful. It’s disgraceful.

At issue primarily is that the state is lacking in COVID tests, a problem that should see criticism leveled at the Biden administration, but instead the blame is focused on “Most government officials are Republicans, but they don’t always have to be Republicans.” Eventually, though the paper is not just grousing about conditions, they also lend recommendations about what can be done. They have some very serious plans for the state.

They introduce this plan out of amusement.; “Were Utah a truly civilized place…”Allow it to marinate for one moment. This paper proposes a way to behave civilized. The crackpot scheme is equally amusing and incredible.

…The governor’s next move would be to find a way to mandate the kind of mass vaccination campaign we should have launched a year ago, going as far as to deploy the National Guard to ensure that people without proof of vaccination would not be allowed, well, anywhere.

Mandates alone are insufficient. Instead, they are attempting to use domestic troops to place citizens under house arrest for refusing to comply with the mandate to provide a vaccine against Omicron. This is insane, fueled by emotional hyperactivity and not grounded in commonsense. Journalists can provide examples of these drastic measures as a way to defeat the virus.

Australia is currently enforcing arrests and throwing people in encampments. This has not done anything to reduce the epidemic. China initiated the pandemic, locking people up with the door shutting on their apartments in China; they now have whole cities under lockdown and many isolation chambers throughout the country to stop the infected.

New Zealand is the closest to any success, being a tiny nation that has virtually unplugged entire countries. Now consider this dichotomy of irrational thought – the journalists who routinely think this lockdown of our citizens is justified are at the same time pledging to take no action whatsoever at our border, as unvaccinated entrants illegally run wild.

Journalism professionals are almost forced to resign if they don’t have the following facts or common sense.
