Kate Beckinsale Opens Up About Her Hospital Stint For A Ruptured Cyst: ‘I Became A Monster’

Kate Beckinsale is getting real about her recent hospital visit.


The actress, 45, sat down with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on “Live With Kelly And Ryan” on Thursday and opened up about recovering from a ruptured cyst.


“The minute I’m given an IV drug, I become a monster!” she told the hosts.

Adding, “I kept finding out what I’d done weeks later.”


At the time of her hospitalisation, Beckinsale shared a photo of herself in her medical gown, writing, “Turns out a ruptured ovarian cyst really hurts, and morphine makes me cry. So thankful to everyone who looked after me.”

But according to “The Widow” actress, this isn’t the first body part to “burst”. “I’ve had my appendix burst before, and I thought it was that again. But that can’t happen twice, apparently.”
