Kim Kardashian named billionaire by Forbes Magazine

The reality-tv star of the Kardashian dynasty, said she felt "blessed" to by named a billionaire by Forbesbusiness magazine.

Since the conclusion ofKeeping Up With The Kardashians was announced after filming its 20th season, Kim has been making most of her money from her make-up and shape-wear brand businesses.

With her huge social media presence, of over 213 million followers on Instagram and 69.7 million on Twitter, fans and fellow celebrities were sharing congratulations with the star over her new title.

One fan gushed: "Congratulations my queen! You are everyday role model."

"Kim, 40, starred in reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, while her profile was boosted by at tape leaked in 2007," Dorothy Howbrook wrote for the Irish Sun.

Fourteen years later, US business magazine Forbes announced that Kim Kardashian's fortune rose from $780million (652million) in October, to $1billion (836million) now.

Lockdown rollercoaster
The magazine confirmed that Kim's Skims brand lingerie and loungewear had been hit in lockdown and is now valued at $223million (187million).

However she was able to boost her income with the profits from her KKW Beauty brand, when she sold a 20% stake to cosmetics giant Coty. The share she has left is said to be worth $500million (418million).

Kim Kardashian appeared on a Forbes cover for the first time, after she launched the KKW Beauty in 2017, joking, "not bad for a girl with no talent," in a feature interview.

Her billionaire status comes as Kim recovers from the breakdown of her marriage to Kanye West, whose own fortune is estimated at $6.6billion (5.4billion).

Last year Kim's sister Kylie Jenner, 23, was named a billionaire by the magazine, only for it to be withdrawn over discrepancies with with documents supplied.

Despite this hiccup, Kim has said she hopes her Kardashian-Jenner clan will eventually join the club.
