As reported by Deadline, Netflix "hopes" to begin filming Sex Education Season 3 by August but this is all dependent on the changing situation as a result of the coronavirus.
The setting for Sex Education is heavily reliant on summer weather and August is really the latest show bosses can begin filming in order to provide the atmosphere of sunshine and colour we've grown to know.
The publication states: "August is seen as the latestSex Educationcould go into production this year because the show is reliant on filming during the longer days of British summer, and the sunshine is an important part of its on-screen gloss.
"It means Netflix and Eleven will need to make a final decision on the shoot plans next month, given the show requires 10 weeks of prep time."
Of course, these goals are all dependant on what restrictions are in place in both England and Wales at the time, two locations where Sex Education is filmed.
The coronavirus will make production more difficult with social distancing guidelines interfering with the typical intimacy portrayed within the show.
The teen comedy series was meant to begin filming in May but plans for this deadline were put to a halt because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
No further details have been released about the upcoming season but the plot will surely feature the growth in Adam and Eric's connection, who is the father of Jean's baby and the gruelling wait about whether or not Otis and Maeve will finally get together.
