Netflix release behind-the-scenes look at new series filmed in Bray

Ahead of the release of Fate: The Winx Saga, which was filmed at Kilruddery House in Bray, Netflix has released a behind-the-scenes look at the series and its main characters.

Creators of the series describe Fate: The Winx Saga as a "coming-of-age journey of five fairies attending Alfea, a magical boarding school in the Otherworld where they must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence."

From creator Brian Young, best known for his work on The Vampire Diaries, Fate: The Winx Saga is a live-action reimagining of the Italian cartoon series Winx Club by Iginio Straffi.

Among the cast is Abigail Cowen as Bloom who fans will know from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt from the hit show Normal people as Terra, Elisha Applebaum as Musa, Sadie Soverall as Beatrix, Freddie Thorp from the recent series The Discovery of Witches will play Riven, and Danny Griffin will take on the role of Sky.

Fate: The Winx Saga is a Netflix original series from Archery Pictures Production, in association with Rainbow.

The six-part series features Brian Young as executive producer, Judy Counihan, and Kris Thykier from Archery Pictures and Cristiana Buzzelli and Joanne Lee from Rainbow as executive producers.

Fate: The Winx Saga will premiere globally on Netflix on 22 January 2021.
