Amanda Holden 'Won't Cover Up' After Her Revealing BGT Outfits Broke Ofcom Complaint Records

Amanda Holden is not dialing back her style despite the uproar caused by her 'inappropriate' outfits on BGT, which led to a flurry of Ofcom complaints.

Tonight, the stylish judge rejoins Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli on the Britain's Got Talent panel. Known for her bold fashion choices, Holden once wore an outfit that had viewers up in arms, deeming it "unsuitable" for the family-friendly ITV show.

At 53, Amanda remains committed to her striking fashion sense. She has revealed that her outfits are carefully vetted by a dedicated team before she makes her appearance on stage.

"There's now a whole body of people that knock on my door and come and stare at my chest before we go on air," she dished to The Sun last year. "There's a t*t committee. There are so many brilliant people, they come down, knock on the door and there's the lady who's the producer who said, 'Mandy, it looks great'."

In 2020, Amanda's deep-cut navy gown drew 235 Ofcom complaints, with viewers criticizing it as "too revealing" for a family show. Similarly, in 2017, a Julien MacDonald dress with a deep neckline, which cost £11,250, incited outrage and garnered 663 Ofcom complaints, making it the most controversial TV moment of the year.

Explaining more about that eye-popping gown, Amanda said: "I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together. But, look, I'm from a small-chest family, plus you know I'm 48 years old. It's all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about."

She has humorously commented that her breasts need their own agent, "I am seriously thinking my girls need separate representation to me, because they are known on their own. They don't need me, they're going to go off and do Piers Morgan's Life Stories on their own next year!"

But she begged in 2023: "This is the problem, everyone talks about my t**s and his are out all the time. No Ofcom complaints about me this year please!" Her co-star Bruno added: "If you've got it, flaunt it! I don't understand this complaining. She's a beautiful woman."
