Caitlyn Jenner Stands Firm On Controversial OJ Simpson Death Post Despite Criticism

Caitlyn Jenner has stood by her contentious message regarding OJ Simpson's death despite receiving criticism from online followers.

The news of Simpson's passing at the age of 76 was announced on Thursday (April 11).

Previously, the former NFL star disclosed his battle with cancer, revealing in May 2023 that he had unfortunately been diagnosed with the illness in recent years.

At that time, he remarked, "So I had to do the whole chemo thing. I'm over the chemo… I'm healthy now. It looks like I beat it - I'm happy about that."

Yet, his family confirmed his passing earlier this week.

"On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer," the statement read.

"He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace."

After the post was shared, some social media users commented on it, bringing up Jenner's involvement in a 2015 car accident that resulted in a woman's death.

"Rest in peace to Kim Howe, the woman killed in a multi-car crash caused by Caitlyn Jenner," one commented.

Another added: "I'm sure the family of that person you ran over, can't WAIT to say the same about you!"

In response, Jenner stated: "I know you all think it's cute to compare a fatal car accident (with multiple vehicles involved) to a BRUTAL MURDER...

"But Remember… OJ said something to the effect of… I could kill her (Nicole) and get away with it bc I'm #OJSimpson."

Several people came to Jenner's defense, with one person stating: "How can you compare a car accident to a murder? Haters all of them."

Caitlyn Jenner was married to Kris Jenner when O.J. Simpson became a suspect in the deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994.

The pair were fatally stabbed outside Nicole's home in California. Shortly after, police announced plans to arrest Simpson, who was married to Nicole from 1985 to 1992.

Millions watched on TV as Simpson fled from police in his white Ford Bronco, carrying his passport and a disguise. He eventually surrendered.

During what was called 'the trial of the century', prosecutors presented evidence, including blood, hair, and fibers found in Simpson's car.

Bloody shoe prints found at the crime scene outside Nicole's home were also highlighted by prosecutors, who claimed they matched shoes owned by Simpson.

In defense, Simpson's lawyers argued that he had been framed.

Kris Jenner was Nicole's closest friend, while her ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, served as Simpson's defense attorney during the murder trial.

The trial lasted 11 months, from November 1994 to October 1995. After three hours of deliberation, Simpson was acquitted.
