The reality series "1000-lb Sisters" chronicles the weight loss efforts of sisters Tammy and Amy Slaton.

Initially, Tammy started the show at over 725 pounds (51.8 stone), requiring assistance to walk and dependent on an oxygen mask.

As the series progressed, Tammy's significant weight loss captured the admiration of viewers, culminating in a recent swimsuit photo that showcases her transformation.

Social media users have enthusiastically responded to her new look, with comments such as, "Tammy looks so good."

Another person comments: "Look at you, girl! That is a JOURNEY."

A third adds: "You look amazing Tammy, I'm so proud of you."

Someone else pens: "Holy wow! The transformation is incredible! So happy to see how far you have come I may have cried a little."

A fifth congratulates the reality star, writing: "I know that Tammy must be so proud of herself. She fought the hard fight and made it when so many people wrote her off. Congrats girl!"

In a recent interview with People, Tammy shared the profound impact of her weight loss journey, revealing that she has lost 440 pounds (31.4 stone) and now weighs 285 pounds (20.6 stone).

"One of the big changes that I have gone through this past year is probably small to most people," she told the outlet.

"But for me it was huge. Just being able to walk without a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair, and no oxygen. I don't even sleep with it at night anymore."

"Then it was being able to fit in a regular vehicle, front seat, and then the belt buckle, and not have to use an extender now. So I mean, just what seems minor to some people is giant for me."

In 2022, Tammy underwent gastric band surgery, a procedure where a silicone band, known as the Lap-Band, is placed around the stomach to limit its capacity and slow food digestion, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

Tammy, committed to transforming her life further, shared in a TikTok Q&A that she aims to learn driving, though she understands it will take time to achieve this goal.

"I do want to learn eventually," she said. "But right now anxiety's just a little too much. A lot going on. But baby steps."

Despite significant improvements in her life, Tammy experienced a profound loss last summer with the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham.

The couple met at a rehabilitation facility in Ohio, where they were both undergoing treatment for obesity.

They married in November 2022, but their relationship ended just a few months later when they decided to separate.

It has been confirmed that Willingham's death was due to natural causes.

Tammy remains active on social media, regularly updating followers on her progress and sharing inspirational messages for those on similar paths.

Fans are now marveling at the reality star's transformation, highlighted by a new photo of her in a swimsuit.

In the photo, Tammy poses beside her friend Haley Michelle, sporting a blue, mermaid-printed swimsuit while seated in a swimming pool. They frequently appear together in social media posts.

Michelle shared the photo on her Instagram, accompanied by a caption: "Proud of you #tammyslatonweightloss."
