“She Is Getting Looks”: Woman Tries To Make Her Ex Husband Look Bad, It Backfires

There is nothing quite like a good tale of revenge. Anyone who has had a bad breakup or, worse, a bad divorce has no doubt thought about some way to just get back at your ex. Naturally, the feeling is probably mutual.

A man learned that his ex-wife was planning to make him look bad by fraudulently signing him up to coach t-ball, so he decided to flip the script and implicate her instead. As she quickly learned, if you want to mess with someone, you best not miss. We reached out to the man in the story via private message and will update the article when he gets back to us.

Learning your ex is plotting against you is likely not a fun revelation

Sports leagues tend to be disproportionately important for those in them

For those who are unaware, t-ball is just a simplified form of baseball or softball, generally intended for younger kids. Incidentally, softball is a “softer” form of baseball, so as one can imagine, t-ball is by no means a high impact sport. But if you are a parent and your kid is in a league, you best believe it will become important fast. All in all, people tend to take sports pretty seriously even when their kids are not involved, so combine the two and it’s easy to see why parents would get worked up.

In the US, there are currently about 2.2 million children in some form of a T-ball league, with an additional seventeen thousand in Australia, where “baseball style” sports were introduced by the United States Navy. All in all, this is a sport for kids, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some stakes and logistics involved.

This is perhaps one reason why there are enough parents who take this question seriously, which is the catalyst for both the wife’s and the husband’s plans. After all, there seem to be all sorts of parents involved and invested in this league. Perhaps they are living vicariously through their children or they foresee a future for them in the MLB, regardless, they appear to be quite involved.

Big or small, humanity loves a good revenge story

After all, the fact that both parties believe that “backing out” of coaching will negatively affect a person’s reputation indicates that the wife had the beginnings of a solid plan. After all, the actual league and kids weren’t put at risk, just the one parent who would take the fall. It’s almost comical to see just how invested the parents ended up getting for this league.

The email sent out by the husband’s insider friend is simply dripping with passive aggressiveness, from the calculator omission of her name to the “recommendation” that future coaching applicants actually take it seriously.

Avoiding naming her is a stroke of genius, as it would mean that the few parents who didn’t know who she was would ask others, leading them all to, perhaps literally, point to her. It would almost seem like she has a certain reputation, hence why the league organizer is so eager and willing to help him out.

This story has that one very vital component to any solid revenge story, some amount of justice. After all, the husband didn’t just wake up one morning and “pick violence,” he learned that he was to be the target of a prank and decided to take matters into his own hands. Having a revenge plot turned against the plotter is even funnier, as it’s both poetic and proportional. Particularly when it’s against one’s ex. Sometimes people regret splitting up, but let’s face it, this is definitely not the case here.
