Season two of the post-apocalyptic series 'Snowpiercer' is landing on Netflix on January 26, 2020.
Season onewas set more than seven years after the world had become a frozen wasteland and centred on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe.
The train is divided into first-class, the rich and influential who bought their way on, second class, the slightly less influential, third class, who are those with valuable skills, and finally, 'The Tail'.
The Tail in 'Snowpiercer' is made up of people who don't contribute to society and are known as 'the engine eternal', who are forced to live on minimal food and supplies.
The series is based on both the 2013 South Korean-Czech film of the same name, directed by Bong Joon-ho and the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige.
Class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation.
If you're in the market for a new series, season one of the show is available to view on Netflix already with season two landing on Tuesday, January 26.
Speaking about the latest installment of 'Snowpiercer', creators said; "Its another season of the post-apocalyptic drama in which Earth has frozen over and the last surviving humans live on a giant train circling the globe."
