The photo in question was posted by Ellie Nottoli, the event planner for the wedding of Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet and his partner Emily Jarosz. She was sharing a bunch of photos from the event, the blue invite envelope being one of them. It immediately ignited a discourse on the internet.
“That’s usually standard for weddings i believe,” quipped one commenter against the rumor.
Another argued: “This is not common for unmarried couples. I have been invited to many weddings with my partner and each of our full names are on the invitation. Frankly, it would be offensive otherwise.”
In the end, the planner confirmed that the invite was simply a sample for the “video/designing” process. Nonetheless, sources close to the couple said that “nothing seems to be imminent, but it will 100 percent happen.”
