This delicious Guinness Dark Chocolate Easter Egg is now available in Ireland

Easter Sunday is now just a week away and for anyone still looking to pick up some chocolate eggs for their friends and loved ones, you might be interested in the latest release from Guinness.

In the lead up to Easter weekend, we've seenBuckfast release their very own egg, while we were desperate to get our hands onthis Gin & Tonic eggas soon as we lay eyes on it.

Now Guinness have released their very own Easter egg and it's shot straight to the top of our wishlist.

The Guinness Dark Chocolate Egg with Pints (230g) balances the creamy notes of Guinness with sumptuous dark chocolate. The mammoth egg also comes with eight mini dark and white chocolates with a Guinness flavoured centre in the iconic Guinness pint shape.

A larger version, the Guinness Luxury Easter Egg Dark Chocolate (360g), is also available for die-hard fans fo the black stuff.

The Guinness Easter Egg is priced at 13 is are available from selected Tesco, Dunnes, Supervalu, Spar, Eurospar, Londis and Mace stores.

Guinness isn't the only alcoholic brand to get in on the Easter egg craze with Jagermeister also getting in on the act with a boozy chocolate "creme egg" filled with cream infused by its liqueur.

The German drinks brand has created 38g chocolate eggs which are filled with a silky Jger-infused cream at the centre.

Jagermeister say the inside of the eggs have a creamier and silkier texture than the yolk of a creme egg, while the chocolate shell is finer and more crisp.

A set of two eggs with two Jagermeister shot glasses and a 10cl bottle of Jagermeister will set you back 9.99 and they went on sale at 10am today (Thursday March 28) on theJagermeister website.
