Adele Announces “An Incredibly Long Time” Hiatus


Never mind, we’ll find someone like you, Adele.





British hitmaker Adele has announced that she will not be seeing her fans “for an incredibly long time” after the conclusion of her Las Vegas residency in November. 





The singer broke the news on the final night of her month-long residency in Munich. She said that she’d only got “ten shows to do” – referring to the residency – before going on a long hiatus.





“And I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break,” the “Rolling in the Deep” songbird promised. 





Choking back tears, the singer elaborated on her decision. 





“I just need a rest,” she said. “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now . . . I will remember these shows for eternity because they have been spectacular.”





She continued, “I’m not the most comfortable performer. I know that, but I am very comfortably good at it, and I really enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever done, and probably the longest I would ever do.”





The break would cap off the 100++ plus residency shows she’s done in Las Vegas since November 2022. During the long stint, the Grammy-winning artist performs the various chart-topping hits she’s put out over the years including “Someone Like You”, “Hello”, “Easy On Me” and “Set Fire to the Rain.”





Now, it looks like we won’t be getting any new music for a while. But then again, Adele fans are used to chasing pavements when it comes to the “Skyfall” singer‘s new music. It took Adele four years to release her third album 25 after the explosive success of Grammy Awards Album of the Year winner 21, and then another six years for its followup, 30





We’ll be waiting to say “Hello” again to the diva.
