The season of love has arrived in the world of Colin and Penelope. However, since the beginning, the latter has been living a dual life. Not only is she Penelope Featherington, but she is also one of the most celebrated gossip columnists, Lady Whistledown. She majorly writes about the events occurring in the balls and does not even hesitate to criticize the most influential personalities, including Queen Charlotte. Well, Bridgerton Season 3 exposes her identity in front of Colin’s sister, Eloise, so it’s no wonder fans are intrigued to know if Colin finds out about her.

Does Colin Find out That Penelope Is Lady Whistledown

Rarely do we see any live-action projecting the events from the source material as they are. Unfortunately, Bridgerton is not among them. The first part of Bridgerton Season 3 ended with a steamy scene between Colin and Penelope, where the former also proposes to the latter. However, things are a little different in the world created by the amazing author Julia Quinn.

Before getting involved in a romance sequence, Colin gets hold of an envelope that Pen accidentally drops. That’s when he learns that the gossip columnist is no other than the woman he loves. So, this is a massive change that has been seen in the screen adaptation. The book also shows the friends turned lovers arguing about this in the carriage before their engagement. So, we didn’t get a chance to witness all this in the first four episodes of Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1.

Besides that, the letter that reveals Penelope’s true identity in front of Colin states that Cressida, who says that she is Lady Whistledown, is a fraud as she has nothing to do with all the gossip. Initially, Colin isn’t ready to support her in the writing field, but when Cressida starts blackmailing her, he is the one to stand by Pen’s side. He says that before anyone else reveals her identity in front of the world, they should announce it themselves.

Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 will be even more dramatic, as hinted by the first part, so let’s not lose hope and wait for it to disclose the things that are still hidden from those who haven’t read the books yet.
