Are you ready to make the most of your vacation? If you’re heading to Florida and you want to enjoy two of the top cities for vacation then you’re in the right place. We’re going to talk about Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and everything in between. Literally. We’re going to talk about the travel in between these two great places.
The Best Travel Options from Miami to Fort Lauderdale
There are several different ways that you can travel between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. So, if you need Miami to Fort Lauderdale transportation, take a look here.
For one, you could fly, though it may seem a little bit overkill to fly a distance that would take you less than an hour to drive. Still, it’s something that you can consider if you want to take all of the effort out of it.
Another option is to take a train. Yes, there’s actually a train that will take you between these two cities and the cost is actually reasonable as well. The train runs hourly, so you’re going to have a little more freedom on your time than you would with a plane, and it’s a shorter trip than going by car.
Next up, the bus. This is going to take a lot longer than going by pretty much any other method, but it’s going to give you options along the way. The bus will have other stops so if you wanted to get out along the way and enjoy some other attractions you can absolutely do that. And it’s the cheapest way you’re going to get there (though that’s going to be comparable to paying for gas in your car if you drive yourself). There is a schedule to the bus though, so you’re going to have to be ready when the bus is rather than setting your own timetable.
There’s also a shuttle, which can take you all the way there, but it’s going to be more expensive than the bus. It’s still less expensive than a train, however, in most cases. With this method you’re going to have about the same amount of time involved as taking the bus though, possibly longer. So it’s going to depend on how fast you want to get there. Also, you’ll be reliant on the shuttle schedule.
Taxis are another choice and if you’re willing to spend a little more this will give you all the freedom of driving yourself (you can go when you want, stop if/when/where you want, and come back when you want) without having to do the driving. This is one of the more expensive options, however, but it takes the shortest amount of time (on par with driving yourself).
And finally, you can choose to drive yourself between the two. It only takes about 35 minutes to get between these two cities and the roads to get there are going to be simple enough as well. So, if you want to travel Miami to Fort Lauderdale, driving your own car or renting one is probably going to be your best choice.
