Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested last month after almost a year-long investigation, sending shockwaves through Hollywood.
Combs now faces charges linked to crimes including s** trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, as well as drug possession and firearm offenses.
According to reports, it's alleged that the 54-year-old used his employees, resources, and influence to establish a "criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, s** trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice," as noted by Sky News.
The music producer Diddy has been accused of organizing "freak-offs," which are described as "drug-fueled, days-long s**ual performances" that he allegedly forced women into, filming them for his own enjoyment, according to the BBC.
In November 2023, Diddy's former partner, Casandra Ventura, known by her stage name Cassie, filed a shocking lawsuit accusing him of both s**ual and physical abuse.
The lawsuit claims that the rapper would assault his ex-girlfriend and pressure her into having relations with other men. It also includes accusations of r*** against the star.
Cassie's civil lawsuit revealed that she met Combs in 2005, when she was 19 years old and he was 37. The two had an on-and-off relationship that lasted for more than a decade, ending in 2018.
Diddy, known for his song "I'll Be Missing You," quickly settled Cassie's lawsuit within a day. Since then, more individuals have come forward, filing lawsuits against Combs that accuse him of various forms of abusive behavior.
In March of this year, federal agents conducted raids on Diddy's properties in Miami and Los Angeles. Following these raids, he was arrested at a Manhattan hotel after a grand jury indictment was issued.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him.
His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment in a statement to the Daily Mail, criticizing the decision to "pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr Combs by the US Attorney's Office."
Agnifilo added, "Diddy is an imperfect person but is not criminal."
The rapper was denied bail and has remained in custody since September 16.
In a 1999 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Combs talked about the parties he hosted, saying, "They're going to probably be arresting me, doing all types of crazy things just because we want to have a good time."
He continued, "Whenever you bring up a different element into people's environment, things that broaden people's horizons, people get intimidated. It's a lot of people out there that feel intimidated by it."
Several celebrities have also mentioned how "wild" and "weird" Diddy's parties were. In a 2019 episode of Hot Ones, actor Ashton Kutcher said there were aspects of those parties that he couldn't even talk about.
