Paramount Just Confirmed This Major Transformers One Detail!

As someone who works as an Entertainment journalist, 2024 already has a lot of exciting releases lined up for which I am pretty hyped. However, 2024 just keeps getting better because Paramount Pictures just did a mic drop on all of us with the confirmation of when Transformers One is going to hit the theaters!

Even though this animated movie was already scheduled for a given release date, the outbreak of the SAG-AFTRA strikes left us wondering if it would actually come out. So, in this article, let’s talk about the Transformers One release date and everything we know about it so far!

Transformers One Release Date

Back in April 2023, Paramount announced that Transformers One was in production along with the cast of this movie, and their scheduled release date. As I mentioned above, the strikes left everything in jeopardy with us being left clueless about the progress of this movie.

However, with a recent X post (aka tweet) by Paramount and the official Transformers account, it has been confirmed that Transformers One will be released on September 13, 2024. The post also shows off the logo for the upcoming movie.

According to an X post that reads “Every hero has an Origin,” Transformers One is most probably going to explore how Optimus became Optimus Prime, and I am excited is an understatement.

So, brace yourself for this one, we all know that until now, Optimus Prime was voiced by Mr. Peter Cullen who has a special place in our hearts as Transformers fans with his one-of-a-kind voice. But, if we talk about the cast of Transformers One, Marvel’s God of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth, will voice Optimus Prime.

Now if Optimus Prime will be there, how can his nemesis, Megatron be left behind? So, joining the ensemble with Hemsworth is Brian Tyree Henry as the voice of Megatron. Scarlett Johansson is also part of the cast and will voice Elita, one of the female Transformers who joined Optimus in his search for Energon.

I know that some of us are going to be skeptical of Hemsworth playing Optimus, but hey, let’s not judge him before witnessing how he performs. As far as my opinion goes, of course, no one in this world can match the legacy of Mr. Peter Cullen, but I think Hemsworth can pull it off. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments!

When Will The Transformers One Trailer Release?

As of now, there is no confirmed trailer release date shared by Paramount, but according to claims made by The Hollywood Handle and Daniel RPK, the first trailer for Transformers One will be released on April 18, 2024.

This also makes sense since the movie’s opening credits were released on April 11, 2024, so we can expect Paramount to drop the trailer while the hype of Transformers One is still going around.
