It's not exactly what you'd call a "great" movie, and it's not going to make you feel all warm and happy.
But like all of Gaspar Noé's films — from the intense I Stand Alone and the emotional Irreversible to the mind-bending Enter the Void — Love has some visually striking scenes.
Now that you can watch it online anytime, there are a few things to consider before you watch it, especially if you're planning to watch it with your partner.
Here's the gist: the movie follows Murphy (played by Karl Glusman), an American filmmaker in Paris, who falls for Electra (Aomi Muyock, in her acting debut), an unpredictable artist who loves the nightlife.
From beginning to end, we're drawn into the close relationship of these lovers, who are determined to explore every desire, eventually bringing Omi (Klara Kristin) into their experiences.

Although the story is about the aftermath of their threesome, it's through Murphy's scattered memories that we learn his troubled relationship with Electra had already fallen apart long before Omi came into the picture.
Heads-up, if you're watching this with your partner, be ready for the "threesome talk" afterward.
That is, unless you're already exploring that kind of thing or you're in the mood to get really high and laugh at how much of a mess Murphy is.
In that case, you both might actually find Love quite the ride. And to that, I tip my hat to you.
Since it's a film that doesn't shy away from pushing limits, it raises plenty of questions about monogamy, fidelity, and trust.
So, unless you and your partner are completely on the same page about what you're comfortable with, maybe watch Love on your own time. Honestly, it's not worth an argument.
Putting any relationship issues aside, if you're both movie lovers, you'll probably appreciate how visually stunning Love is.
It shows Noé at his most unfiltered, perfectly reflecting his main character's endless narcissism.
Some parts are hard to watch, especially when Murphy and Electra's interactions become aggressive.
On the other hand, Noé's dark humor stands out, making sure that even in the most dramatic moments, you might find yourself laughing.
Overall, if you're in the mood for something totally unique, give Love a try.
Just maybe close the curtains first. You wouldn't want to give the neighbors the wrong impression.
