12 Best Dragon’s Dogma 2 Mods You Should Install

The brand-new Action RPG Dragon’s Dogma 2 is hands down one of my favorite launches from this year. However, like other games, it could use a few subtle additions in the form of mods. Thankfully, like many games before, modders have taken it upon themselves to add these improvements to Dragon’s Dogma 2. So, if you’re a gamer and have already looked up how to install DD2 mods, keep reading as we show them all to you.

Note: While the mods below are easy to install, each one has a certain set of instructions you must follow. Ensure you go through the respective steps for them all.

1. Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLSS3 Enabler 1 and NVIDIA DLSS 3.6.0

It’s no surprise that the PC port of Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been suffering from framerate issues. Thankfully, a collection of mods exist that fix that and some more.

Titled Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLSS3 enabler and NVIDIA DLSS 3.6.0, these mods vastly improve the game’s frame rate. So, if you’re getting less than 20 FPS, you can expect at least double the numbers. To make things easier check out our dedicated guide on how to begin installing them.

2. DD2 Save Manager

Besides the FPS issues bothering Dragon’s Dogma 2 players, the lack of a secondary save slot has caused massive annoyance among gamers. While the devs have promised to fix this issue soon, the DD2 Save Manager mod is here to tide you over until then.

The mod tracks your saved files and allows users to set a respective save file as their active one. This gives you access to infinite save slots. Until Capcom adds the option to delete characters or adds multiple save slots, this is the best alternative.

3. Clock

This is the simplest quality-of-life mod ever, and I think the mod’s name itself explains what it does. Clock, made by xyzklji1, adds an in-game clock that tracks the passing of time in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Since every experience and item follows the in-game time, adding this clock will help you keep track of it all. So, no more guesswork, and know the time in DD2 right away.

4. Job Changer

One of my favorite features of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is how the game never forces you to stick to one vocation. You can be a fighter and change into becoming a thief later. However, players need to visit a Guild for that, which can get annoying quickly.

For those who want to change their Dragon’s Dogma 2 vocations (classes) on the fly, the Job Changer is here to the rescue. Using this mod, players can change their vocation and their Pawns at any time. This simplifies the process since players don’t have to visit a Guild anymore.

5. Crazy’s Shop

Shops in Dragon’s Dogma 2 stock up on finite resources. This means that once you buy everything from a shop, it won’t be available to purchase for a while. Until the shopkeeper replenishes the item after a while, or you spend your precious money on Dragon’s Dogma 2 microtransactions.

Crazy’s shop increases the number of items like explorer camp kits, Wakestones, Rift Crystals, and more to x255. If you somehow purchase everything, the shop replenishes items after a day. However, the mod author XxCRAZYPOTATOxX suggests only buying 99 items at a time. So if you’re also tired of the item shop, get this mod in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Let’s face it—this mod was going to be on this list. There’s been a lot of noise and outcry about Capcom making Art of Metamorphosis a microtransaction. Later, people realized you could procure this item in-game. But it is pricey, and you can’t buy it immediately.

However, modder SilverEzredes took it upon themselves to create a mod where you can buy this item cheap and early on in-game from the merchant in Melve. So, if you ever wanted to change your appearance or your Pawns early, get this mod and install it away.

7. Better UI – Colorful Map Icons

This is a simple quality-of-life mod that further enhances an already fun gaming experience. Better UI—Colorful Map Icons make the mini-map and map icons in-game colorful and color-coded. Modder Pavlk brings his A-game, creating a mod that helps visual clarity.

Now, each map icon will have a distinct color that helps differentiate between the logos. Beds will be blue, and so forth. While I do think the maps in DD2 are already easy enough to read, get this mod to make it even easier.

8. Enemy HP Increase

Did you get yourself a strong Pawn that makes killing Cyclops a baby’s work? Have you leveled up so high that you are breezing through the numerous Goblins? Then, this mod will help you create a more challenging experience.

Enemy HP Increase by MajDash increases the enemy hitpoints from 1.2 to 2x or 4x, resulting in tougher boss and enemy encounters. However, do remember to turn the mod off if it becomes too tough.

9. Better UI – HP and SP bar

The Better UI – HP and SP bar is yet another quality-of-life mod in DD2. This mod makes subtle HP and SP bars of players and enemies in-game. The mod takes inspiration from the HP and SP bar in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, making them more legible in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Enemy health bars and diamonds will now be a little thicker and have a tinge of red. Similarly, the player HP and SP bar are less blurry, shorter, and thicker, much like in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Overall, this mod makes things easier to see. Hence, if you have trouble keeping track of your or your enemy’s health, consider using this mod.

10. The Rings Vendor

Like any RPG, Dragon’s Dogma 2 has rings that improve your character and Pawn stats. Some will improve your strength, while others will improve your health. However, these rings are scattered across various vendors in-game and not in a centralized place.

Thankfully, this mod by xerm3d addresses this inconvenience by adding a dedicated Ring Vendor. Now, the first vendor in-game and Philbert’s Sundries will sell six available rings. So now you don’t have to run around various locations in-game to find these rings, which makes things easier.

11. Infinite Stamina Out of Combat

Stamina in Dragon’s Dogma 2 depletes regardless of what you do, especially if it is strenuous. As such, it might get annoying when you’re not in combat. Thankfully, this mod by lingsamuel addresses these pains, creating a mod that never depletes your stamina outside combat. Simply turn it on and feel your lungs get infinite oxygen!

12. Disable Speech Bubbles

Do you find the speech bubbles in Dragon’s Dogma 2 annoying? Disable Speech Bubbles will help with that problem. This mod completely removes the speech bubbles from the NPCs, giving you an immersive experience. You will now only get the essential subtitles, not the additional ones.
